CryEngine

Hi Iris here,

Today I want to give you more insight in our development and what Engine we use and why.

Now I need to clarify something before, every Engine is great in its own right and how Sassan our Designer puts it quite good: "An Engine is a tool used for making a game." In the end is comes down to preference.

Our preference lies inside Cryengine incredible performance and reliability. I always say: "I know that a game uses Unreal Engine, because I see the crash report screen.". Now I cannot recommend Cryengine to anyone who is not a beginner.

A main Reason is we use it, nostalgia. The first game I ever played was crisis one behind my mums back, because I was way too young to play it. Also, the freedom we have and at the sometime also the struggles. Almost all game devs know Cryengine is a lion in terms of difficulty and very hard to understand. I notice that every day.
