We Have a Sound Direction
One more piece of the game is starting to take shape.
Hey, Fares checking in with a little audio update.
We've got the first version of the sound design document done. SDD version 0.1 is basically us trying to put the game's sound into words before we go too far and make a bunch of random stuff.
We now have a rough idea of what the world should feel like, what audio should tell the player, what should stay subtle, and what kind of sound actually belongs in this game. A lot of it will probably change once we start putting things in-game, which is kind of the whole point. It's not a rulebook. It's more like: this is what we think the game should sound like right now.
Next step: Actually making noise! And then we'll find out which ideas work and which ones fall apart immediately.
Let's see what survives first contact with the game.
